1. Service Description

MangaOCR ("the Service") is an online tool that automatically translates text in manga and comic images. The Service performs OCR (text detection), translation, inpainting (text removal), and rendering (text placement) on images uploaded by the user. Uploaded originals are used solely for translation and are automatically deleted 48 hours after processing. Translation results are also retained for 48 hours, during which users can download them.

2. User Obligations

  • You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' intellectual property rights.
  • You represent that you own or have the legal right to upload and translate all content you submit. The Service is intended for translating content you own or are authorized to translate.
  • You must not use the Service to produce, distribute, or sell unauthorized translations of copyrighted material.
  • You must not attempt to circumvent usage limits, payment requirements, or security measures.
  • You must not use automated scripts or bots to access the Service without prior authorization.
  • You are strictly prohibited from uploading, translating, or processing any content that contains sexually explicit, pornographic, or NSFW (Not Safe for Work) material. This Service is intended solely for general-audience manga and image content.

3. Intellectual Property

The Service does not claim ownership of uploaded content or translation results. Users retain responsibility for the original content they upload. The Service does not store, copy, or redistribute original uploaded files — they are automatically deleted 48 hours after translation. The translated output is provided for personal use only; commercial redistribution of translated content without authorization from the copyright holder is prohibited.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Translation quality, OCR accuracy, and rendering results may vary. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.

5. Service Modifications & Termination

We strive to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time. We may also update these Terms at any time; continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MangaOCR and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

7. Term & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms — including but not limited to uploading infringing content, using the Service to produce unauthorized translations, attempting to circumvent payment or security measures, or engaging in any activity that harms the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may also issue warnings or temporarily restrict access for less severe violations. Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination.
